This is for puppies 2 months to 5 months old. It
consists of some obedience and lots of socialization.
This is a 2 week program.
Basics
This program starts with puppies about 5-6 months
old. During this time your retriever will learn the
following:
- Obedience
- Intro to water
- Force Fetching
- intro to bird wings to help develop their sense of smell
- single marks- gunners seen in the field (bumpers are used)
The dog will be able to run an AKC junior or UKC
started test.
Transitional Stage
The transitional stage will teach the dog:
- Double marks & possible triple marks depending on the dog
- water and land marks at a long distance
- Start to learn blind retrieves
- real birds are also being used (dead & alive)
The dog will be given the opportunity to run AKC
senior level & UKC Seasoned level test.
ADVANCED STAGE
The retriever will learn the following:
- Land & water retrieves singles to quads with multiple birds
- Marks & Blinds up to 200 Yards
- fliers (live birds) are used
The dog will be given the opportunity to run AKC
Master level & UKC Finished level test.
